Four Things To Do Before Winter

Hey guys! As those of you who follow me on Instagram know, it's my favorite month of the year! Listed below are a few things I think everyone should find time to fit in this month while the weather is perfect (especially you Northerners and Midwesterners)!

[ 1 ] Go for an intimate hike with a good friend

Get closer to nature and a good friend! Take this time to discuss life deeper than "how's work?" "it's fine. thanks for asking! how are you doing??" Instead, discuss the big topics -- "What are you career goals?...How is your relationship really going?...What's been keeping you up at night?"

[ 2 ] Share a bottle of Merlot with a few of your closest friends (outside of course)

bonus points if there's a bon fire and marshmallows. Add grilled hot dogs and make it a meal. Local craft beer or spiked apple cider are acceptable alternatives to merlot.

[ 3 ] Read a book outside

This is a great time to space out from social media and work stresses to read a book, either fiction or non-fiction, for enjoyment. I'm currently reading an excellent photography book by Jack Dykinga (Capture the Magic).

[ 4 ] Review your credit report

You should do this every season to make sure everything is factual. Annualcreditreport.com allows you to access your credit report three times a year - once from each credit bureau. We recommend obtaining one every 4 months. (This is not your FICO score, just your report. Click the links to learn credit score basics and how to maximize your credit score!)
